Pet Portrait Palooza!

Pet Portrait Palooza!

The year of 2020 has been challenging for many non-profits who rely on events and fundraisers to
help carry out their mission. With funds down, non-profit organizations have had to
consider doing more virtual fundraisers. The Greenville Museum of Art (GMoA) has partnered with
the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina (HSEC) for a fundraiser to benefit both organizations. This
fundraiser will combine the love of art with the love of companion animals.

From November 1st to November 6th, supporters are invited to make a donation
to receive a drawing of their pet. For a $20 donation, supporters may purchase an adorable drawing of their pet by non-artist
GMoA staff, trustees, or volunteers on 8.5 x 11” paper. Non-artists range in skill, but that is
part of the fun of this option! For a $50 donation, supporters may purchase a high quality professional drawing of their
pet by a local artist on 11 x 14” artist grade paper. From each portrait purchased, $10 will be donated to HSEC.

“HSEC is so excited to partner with GMoA for this event,” says HSEC’s Shelter Director. “Through such a challenging year, our
supporters have been incredible and we loved the format of this fundraiser since it is so interactive
and provides the opportunity for people to have an awesome portrait to keep forever. HSEC has had
to cancel several fundraisers this year and we are so thankful that GMoA is partnering with us for
this very fun and unique event.”

To learn all of the details about the fundraiser, people are encouraged to visit GMoA’s website
(www.gmoa.org). They may also watch both HSEC and GMoA’s social media accounts to stay up to
date.
