The ENC HBCU Combine is back! The 3rd Annual Event is an opportunity for the area’s talented high school athletes to showcase the skills they have to offer on the collegiate level. If you are a high school athlete, high school coach, college or university football recruiter, you are invited to be a part of the 2024 ENC HBCU Combine! The cost for the 2-day combine is 50.00. Day 1: Friday, April 26, 2024 on the campus of Farmville Central High School, 5:30p – 7:30p.
NCAA Informational Seminar. Theme — Athletics: A Gateway to Your Future. Featured guests/speakers:
- Jordan Ragland, Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance, ECU.
- Johnnie Walton, former ECSU and Philadephia Eagles Quarterback
- Marcus Hilliard, head football coach of Eliazbeth CIty State University
- Timmy Newsome, former WSSU and Dallas Cowboys running back
- Dr. Anthony Blevins, former head coach, XFL’s Vegas Vipers
Also there will be a panel featuring current & former HBCU football players Bryce Jackson (WSSU), Jayden Cherry (NCCU), and Myles White (Fayetteville St)
Dinner will be provided.
Day 2: Saturday, April 27, 2024 on the campus of Farmville Central High School. Athletic combine & Skills Showcase. 9:00a – 5:00p. Participants will be tested on the 40 yd dash, vertical leap, broad jump, 185lb bench press, and 20-yard shuttle run. In the afternoon, participants will be showcasing their offensive and defensive talents, led by local football coaches.
Recruiters from the MEAC, CIAA and other colleges will be in attendance.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
