On Monday, Trump held a press conference giving updates on the Coronavirus and its containment.

The main focus was telling people to stay out of gatherings that include 10 people or more, avoid eating at bars, food courts and restaurants, and school/ work from home if possible. These guidelines are set for the next 15 days and then will be revisited.

Many establishments are closing or changing operation times due to the virus. Several cities including Philadelphia and San Francisco, and entire states including Maryland have already issued the order for bars and restaurants to close as soon as this evening. Bars, restaurants and movie theaters in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut will close Monday night indefinitely. Some cities have a curfew of 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

French President Emmanuel Macron said the country’s borders will be closed to contain the coronavirus outbreak starting at noon local on Tuesday. Russia will also be closing its borders to foreigners beginning on Wednesday. Canada will deny entry to anyone who isn’t a citizen or permanent resident. Here in the United States, 80% of flight paths have been cancelled with airlines, including all flights to Europe.

As Trump shared that this virus could continue into July or August. As he spoke those words,  the stock market took the biggest and worst point lost ever since 1987.
