Tuesday was the NBA Draft Lottery, giving 14 NBA teams the chance at the overall first round pick during the draft in June.
Shockingly, the Pelicans took that #1 spot, even though they only had a 6% chance. Compared to the three teams with the worst regular season records, the Knicks, Cavaliers and Suns, who all had a 14% chance at the overall pick.
With Duke’s Zion Williamson being placed as the #1 overall draft pick this year, he could be making a home in New Orleans, unless they’re use this as a trading tool.
After the Pelicans, the Grizzles take #2, Knicks get #3, Lakers are #4, Cavaliers #5, the Suns take #6, the Bulls get #7, the Hawks are at #8, the Wizards at #9 and the Hawks once again for #10.
