Las year, Kim K assisted in getting Alice Johnson out of jail after meeting with President Donald Trump. After the release of Matthew Charles, Kim helped him find housing, offering to pay his rent for 5 years.
Now Kim wants to take her legal role a little further by becoming an actual lawyer. She is actively studying and plans to take the bar exam in 2022. Kim is not attending law school, but she has begun a 4-year apprenticeship at a San Francisco-based law firm after consulting with Van Jones and attorney Jessica Jackson.
In a recent Vogue article, Kim says, “I would say what I had to say, about the human side and why this is so unfair. But I had attorneys with me who could back that up with all the facts of the case. It’s never one person who gets things done; it’s always a collective of people, and I’ve always known my role, but I just felt like I wanted to be able to fight for people who have paid their dues to society.”
