After getting put back in jail for unpaid child support, R. Kelly is now trying to get his monthly payments to ex-wife Drea Kelly lowered. Kelly was able to cough up the unpaid bill last week, thanks to a little help from a benefactor, allowing him to be released from jail, but on Wednesday he was back in court to fight again. But the attempt was failed. Kelly’s payments were not lowered, and a new date will be set to revisit the matter.

Kelly’s camp says he stopped paying the $20,833 monthly payments after a huge fight with Drea back in 2017, after which she didn;t allow their  daughter and two sons to talk to him. But Drea says Kelly cut the money as a form of control when she spoke out publicly about him abusing her.
