Kim Kardashian-West is paying the rent of Matthew Charles for the next 5 years after he was released from jail after serving 20 years of a 35 year sentence for a non-violent drug and weapons charge. He is the first to be released under the new prison reform law. Trump highlighted Matthew Charles & Alice Johnson during his Union address last month. 

Charles was recently denied housing due to his background, so Kim stepped in to get him housing and to pay.
