It seems that “Empire” has not yet been renewed for a 6th season, and people are freaking out!
Typically, the crew knows something by January, a whole 5 months before their season finale. January has already passed and there has been no word yet for the fate of the show.
People involved feel that the Jussie Smollett situation is to blame for the delay. Season 5 of the show comes back on Wednesday, with Jussie being removed from the final two episodes.
Sources say Jussie’s character will be “out of the country.”
