Over the weekend, Jussie Smollett was indicted by a grand jury in Chicago on 16 felony counts after allegedly lying to police about the hate crime attack against him. They included charges for each crime he said he had suffered, with separate counts related to statements he made the night of he attack. All charges are class 4 felonies, the lowest category of felony in the state of Illinois.

Last month Smollett was charged with felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report.

New information has come out surrounding the case, some pretty big info as well. The Osundario brothers are now confirming that Jussie Smollett wrote them the $3,500 check for a training program. Something Jussie has been claiming all along. He wanted to get more in-shape for an upcoming music video. The statement from the brother regarding the cheek being for the haul attack was one of the strongest statements Chicago PD made about the case. With the brothers now negating it, I wonder what this will mean.

The brothers lawyer appeared on Good Morning America, telling them, “They were paid for the training . . . but they were also asked to do this favor for him,” she said.

Explaining the payment further, Gloria Schmidt said: “If you’re friends, and I’m saying ‘Hey, I’m going to pay you for training, I’m also asking you to do me a favor . . . and the favor was to stage the attack.”

What else have the police gotten wrong that led to Jussie being indicted?
