Colleges across the states are waiving their application fees for students in areas hit hardest by Hurrican Florence. even after Florence, there are several families and communities who are still rebuilding.
Via WITN, “Students in 34 counties will have until 5 p.m. on Friday, November 16 to fill out their college and financial aid applications for free at participating schools.”
This includes students in Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Pitt, Wayne and Wilson Counties, among others.
It’s part of the states’ annual campaign to assist high school seniors with the application process and promote higher education.
