This weekend, things got heated as the Lakers took on the Rockets on Saturday night. You might’ve seen the fists come out during the 4th quarter. Things started when Lakers center and Kinston’s very own, Brandon Ingram pushed Rockets guard, James Harden. Brandon received a technical foul for the shove, but as that issue was cooling off, another picked right up between Rondo and Chris Paul.
By the looks of it, Rondo spot on Paul, which is just one of the most disrespectful things you can do, causing punches to start flying! To make matters worse, Ingram decides to jump into this fight too, as his teammate Rondo threw the first punch. As a result, Ingram, Rondo and Pail were all ejected from the remainder of the game.
Due to the incident, Brandon Ingram has been suspended for 4 games for aggressively returning to and escalating the altercation, throwing a punch in the direction of Chris, confronting a game official in a hostile manner and instigating the overall incident. Rajon Rondo is suspended for 3 games for instigating a physical altercation, spitting and throwing punchs at Paul. Chris Paul has been suspended for 2 games because he poked at and made contact with Rondo and throwing multiples punches at his face.
All players are suspended without pay.
