Belhaven Teen Accused of Making False Threat to the School Over Rumor

this past week an 18-year-old student from Northside High School student was accused of making a false threat to the school. He is claiming he made the threat because he got upset over a rumor about him and an unidentified girl, according to authorities.

According to WNCT, “Austin S. Walden, 18 of Belhaven ws charged with making a false threat of mass violence on an educational property. the Beaufort County Sheriff’s office said that two students informed the Northside High School Resource Officer Milton Long about the threat made by Walden.”

Austin does attend Northside High School. after several interviews and searches conducted by Authorities, Walden was charged with a felony. The campus searched and no gun was found. Austin was processed and he was released on a bail of $5,500 bond.
