Hurricane Michael tore through the Florida Wednesday when Michael made landfall. Florida Governor Rick Scott said, “homes are gone, businesses are gone. roads and infrastructures along the storm’s path have been destroyed. This hurricane was an absolute monster. The damage left in its wake is still yet to be fully understood.”

Currently, the governor wants to focus on search and rescue. He said that last night Florida National Guard, Florida Fish, and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Florida Highway Patrol, and utility, healthcare, and transportation workers drove into the darkness to begin the rescue and recovery effort.

According to WNCT, “More than 1,000 search and rescue personnel have also been deployed. Some have already moved into Pana City and Mexico Beach, Tyndall, Alligator Point, and Carrabelle.” the governor also want to remind people to be safe if they’re using a generator. Do not put a generator in your home and be sure to follow instruction for safe use.
