A shooting in Kinston has left one man injured Monday morning. The shooting took place around 8:23 a.m. on Tower Hill Road. Once arrived, police found a man with gunshot wounds, identified as 32-year-old Timothy E. Staton.

Witnesses say three black males approached Staton and shot him twice and left the scene in a black car. The case is under investigation.
