Tekashi69 is under investigation by the NYPD for the attempted shooting of Chief Keef while he was in New York at the W Hotel in Times Square, even though Tekashi himself was in L.A. The police have connected 2 men to the shooting outside of the hotel, who were caught on surveillance cameras. Police want to know if Tekashi was the one who ordered the hit.

The suspect were seen stalking Keef the day of the shooting, showing up while he was at a Chinese restaurant in the downtown area of New York, leaving in a dark-colored Ford Econovan. The suspect can later be seen parking the van around the bock for the hotel, and then walking up to wait for Keef. When Keef walked outside with a friend to smoke, the men attacked, letting off a few shots that hit a nearby sign. The men fled in the van that was later found by police in Brooklyn.

Tekashi denies involvement.
