Yesterday, a woman opened fire at the Youtube Headquarters, injuring 3 people before killing herself. Nasim Aghdam, 38, was a Youtube user who was upset at the company for filtering her videos and reducing her income from the page. She even posted videos bashing the company for age restricting her videos and putting a cap on the amount of views she got on her videos.
She told users, “There is no equal growth opportunity on YOUTUBE or any other video sharing site, your channel will grow if they want to!!!!! Youtube filtered my channels to keep them from getting views!”
She contacted Youtube multiple times about the age restrictions and censorship, and they told her that her videos included inappropriate materials. Her father told police that his daughter said, “Youtube ruined her life.”
