Around 1:45 am on Tuesday night, shots were fired in Downtown Greenville outside of the Jimmy John’s by the campus of ECU.

According to WNCT, witnesses told authorities the suspect was Jonathan Williams, a white male who appeared to be drunk and was acting disorderly. Adding that they saw Williams retrieve a gun from his car and fire several shots in the air. No one was injured.

He reportedly left in a white Chevy Silverado truck pulling a trailer, which police found in a nearby parking lot.

Williams was arrested for discharging a firearm in city limits and common law going armed to the terror of people (both misdemeanor charges).

Williams received a $3,000 secured bond.
