Roy Pridgen AKA The Infamous Skee Monee – Born in Kinston NC has been in love with Hip Hop & R&B since the age of 10 growing up to acts like Fat Boys, Whodini, Run Dmc, Beastie Boys, Nice & Smooth, Onyx, N.W.A, Luke Skywalker, Tribe called Quest, Mary J Blidge, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Roxanne Shante, Sweet T, Black Moon, Smif N Wesson, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, K.R.S 1, Public Enemy, Kool G Rap, Nas, Mobb Deep, Group Home, Gang Starr, Outkast, Goodie Mobb & many other’s lol he got his first pair of turntables at the age of 14. He also grew up listening to Kiss 102 the local radio station in his area as a child in the early 90s only to later graduate from Kinston High School in 1994 & move to Atlanta Georgia in 1995 to soak up the Hip Hop scene fast foward 2003 he moved back home to Kinston NC due to Death in the Family. Then one day he started to work towards his passion which is music & got hired at 101.9 Kiss 2005 as Street Team Director after 6 months an opportunity came up to be an live on air personality with no mass communication degree or broadcasting degree. Skee Monee took on the challenge of becoming what is now a house hold name in the State of NC & beyond, since then he’s been taking the weekend Airwaves to new heights with his high energetic voice & crowd participated chants sure to get anyone ready to party after a long week at work. In 2020 Skee Monee will be in Radio for 15 yrs with the accomplishments of being inducted as a member of the #1 Dj Coalition Core Djs Worldwide & hosting concerts with names of Rick Ross Future Lil Boosie Kevin Gates Migos Trina Cardi B Jaqueese Shawty Lo French Montana Lil Durk Jadakiss Kamillion to name a few also Ceo of South Mouth Muzik Group Ceo of A1 Street Credit Marketing & Promotions & Non Profit M.A.D. Make A Difference. He’s known for throwing Independent Artist Showcases in NC & supporting them on his Mixshow platform. He’s also has his hands in the community of Kinston NC from mentoring,motivational speaking & in 2020-2025 he’s looking to bring more positive events to Eastern NC.
