The Tar River Community Band, directed by James Mauser, is an all-volunteer organization comprised of area musicians of all ages, occupations, and levels of musical ability. They have been making music in Pitt
County since 1987 and are sponsored by Pitt County Community Schools and Recreation in cooperation with Greenville Recreation and Parks.
