KATSEYE is moving forward with four active members as the international girl group navigates two extended breaks from its original six-member lineup.
In an October 8 announcement, HYBE and Geffen Records confirmed that Sophia Laforteza will resume group activities during the first week of January 2027. She has been on hiatus since August 2026 to focus on her mental health and well-being.
Sophia will miss the remaining 2026 promotional appearances and the North American leg of the group’s Wildworld Tour.
Meanwhile, Manon Bannerman remains on hiatus after stepping away in February 2026 to prioritize her health and well-being. No official return date has been announced.
KATSEYE formed in November 2023 through the competition series The Debut: Dream Academy. The original lineup includes Sophia, Manon, Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae.
Since debuting in June 2024, the group has gained international recognition through releases including Gnarly and Gabriela.
For now, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae continue representing KATSEYE in performances and promotional activities while the group prepares for Sophia’s scheduled return.
