BTS added three more MTV Video Music Awards to its record in 2026, marking another milestone for the K-pop group during its latest chapter together.
At the 2026 ceremony, BTS won Song of the Year and Best K-Pop for SWIM, as well as Best Group. Following the wins, J-Hope shared a message on Weverse thanking ARMY for its continued support and reflecting on what the year has meant for the group and its fans.
The Song of the Year victory was particularly notable, with SWIM becoming the first track by a K-pop group to win the category. BTS also secured its fifth Best Group award at the VMAs, extending its history in the fan-voted category.
The awards come during a busy period for BTS. The seven members reunited for group activities following their military service and released ARIRANG as part of their return.
With new music, touring, and major awards arriving in the same year, the VMAs offered another shared moment between BTS and the global fan community that has supported the group throughout its career.
