DESCRIPTION: Hearing Maxo Kream for the first time comes with an energy that is hard to describe. His music is able to capture what feels like a chase scene infused with dark lyrics about his life and what he has seen but all the way through there is absolutely no way you can listen and be still. His 2018 project “Punken” sits currently as my favorite example of his unique style and in-song charisma. Sometimes funny and sometimes disturbing the album is one that should be remembered for ushering in an entirely new sound from the Huston rap scene.
