After ‘Coming to America’ released in 1988, the long wait is finally over as we gear up for squeal titled ‘Coming 2 America’. In this upcoming film, we learn Akeem finds out he has a long-lost son in the United States and must return to America to meet the unlikely heir to the throne of Zamunda. Many original cast will also return, including King Jaffe Joffer (James Earl Jones), Queen Lisa (Shari Headley), Cleo McDowell (John Amos), Maurice (Louie Anderson) and the barbershop crew. New characters will be played by Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, KiKi Layne, Nomzamo Mbatha and Teyana Taylor. This classic comedy will give us the nostalgia of when we first watched the film while giving us a touch of new and continuance laughter. Paramount Pictures closed the deal with Amazon bypassing a theatrical release because of Covid-19 so this movie is set to hit on Prime Video on March 5, 2021.
