Social distancing has affected all of us in some way, and for those who are recovering from substance abuse, this can be an even more difficult time. Even for those who are not abusers, this time can cause people to lean more towards alcohol or drugs due to an increase of anxiety and difficult circumstances.

In person connection is important for people. For those who are used to talking to a therapist, counselor or going to group meetings, experts recommend using telehealth visits. Technology can make it easy stay connected when needing to talk to someone. There are also online groups as well.
