Pitt County Now Has 6 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, 297 Cases in North Carolina

According to WNCT, as of Monday, March 23 Pitt County has six confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Mike Emery from Pitt County Health Department says the first four previous confirmed cases were all travel related. Officials released the new number of cases on their website.

In the whole state of North Carolina, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services says there are now 297 confirmed cases. This is a jump from the 255 cases confirmed on Sunday morning. No deaths have occurred in the state.

Mecklenburg County has 66 cases while Wake and Durham counties have 40 each. At least 39 counties are reporting at least one case.
