For those of you who have not filed your taxes yet, the deadline has been extended to July 15 instead of April 15.
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin tweeted Thursday morning that at President Donald Trump’ direction, “we are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15. All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.”
He encouraged people who are expecting a tax refund to “file now to get your money.”
