Megan thee Stallion went live this week sharing a current issue she is experiencing with her record label. All the Hot Girl wanted to do was renegotiate her contract, but now she is unable to release any music.

Megan first explained that she is signed to two independent record labels and Roc Nation is her management. She continued saying that the deal she has was signed when she was around the age of 20, and she really didn’t know the full details of what was in it. After recently signing to Roc Nation, and gaining real lawyers and managers, her contract was reviewed and there were a few things she wanted to change.

Thinking everyone was family, she spoke to the label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, about her new findings and re-negotiating her contract. At this point, Meg says all things changed and they are now telling her she cannot release any new music.

Now, the Texas rapper has decided to file a lawsuit against 1501 Record Label. In the suit, there’s reportedly language about the terms of her contract. One of them reportedly being the split of Megan’s recording income. It’s being reported that the contract deal calls for 1501 Certified Entertainment to receive 60% of her recording income while she receives 40%. From that 40% she has to reportedly pay her engineers, mixers and featured artists too.

The contract also calls for all money from Megan’s touring and live performances to be paid directly to 1501 Certified Entertainment. She says the label is supposed to give her a proper accounting of what she’s owed, but claims what they’ve provided is incomplete, and “purposefully and deceptively vague.”

Megan is also suing Carl Crawford, former MLB player and ex-husband of Evelyn Lozada, who is part owner of the record label! Megan is claiming that Carl is using his relationship with Rap-a-Lot Records founder, J.Prince to intimidate people in the industry.

1501 has not responded to the claims, but we’ll keep you updated!
