This week, Jay Z’s Roc Nation announced a partnership with the NFL to use the leagues resources to change the culture of policing. Jay will become the league’s “live entertainment strategist,” including working together on the league’s Inspire Change activism campaign.
Jay Z and members of the media met with NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell on Wednesday.
Charlemagne asked the first question to Jay Z, how can you partner with the NFL when Colin Kaepernick is still out of a job? Jay responded by saying, he is past the level of protest, it is now time to do something. He continues to say the kneeling protest was never about Kaepernick’s employment, it was about police brutality. Kaep’s job became apart of the discussion.
