Lil Durk turned himself into Atlanta police last week on an attempted murder charge. Police had a warrant for the rapper’s arrest for his involvement in a shooting outside of a restaurant on February, during which 23-year-old Alexander Weatherspoon was shot in the thigh. The man is now in critical condition, and recovering from his wounds. Durk is denying any involvement.

Police claim to surveillance footage of Durk driving a car and shooting the man. There were 5 cameras used from surrounding businesses. The footage is now probable cause for the judge. Enough for a trial.

Durk and OTF rapper, King Von are now facing charges of criminal intent to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities have not explained the relationship between Durk and Weatherspoon; however, witnesses told police they saw the victim in a verbal dispute with a man shortly before the gun was fired. Investigators also say Durk robbed Weatherspoon of a gold chain and $30,000 during the incident.

The witness told him she was standing outside, talking to Banks and Bennett in front of a cigar bar around 5 a.m. Feb. 5 when they saw a fight in the car in front of them.

Prosectors are saying this is gang activity.
