Over the Memorial Day, Meek Mill was accused of trespassing at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. A video of the incident was shared on his Twitter page on Saturday showing two hotel staff members that Meek would be arrested if he entered the hotel.

One of the staff members can be heard telling Meek, “We are private property, at this time, with the information we have, we’re refusing to do business with you, we have the right to do that,” but he refuses to tell Meek how he would be trespassing.

Meek has decided to file a lawsuit against the Cosmopolitan hotel this week for the actions against him. Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, vows to destroy the hotel. Telling TMZ, he will ask for “heavy monetary damages” for “lying and humiliating Meek,” adding, “I’m going to take this place down because of what they did.”

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas released a statement Monday saying the safety and security of their guests were their top priority.
“The recent situation regarding Meek Mill related to a matter of security, not race, and any reports citing otherwise are false. We pride ourselves on providing an inclusive environment, with zero tolerance for discrimination. Under different circumstances, Meek Mill would be welcomed to the resort, but not at the compromise of his personal safety and the safety of our guests.”
The hotel added that a club on the premises had reached capacity Saturday in accordance with the Las Vegas Fire Marshal code. In a statement to CNN, the Cosmopolitan said the club knew about the rapper’s arrival in advance and security told the rapper he wouldn’t have access to the club because of capacity issues.
At this time, it is unknown what part of the resort Meek was trying to get into, but no one in the video mentioned any clubs being at full capacity. Meek even asks if he can get something to eat from the hotel and was still denied.
Meek can be heard saying that there are “a few other hotels” that are also “doing this to black entertainers because they don’t want too many blacks on they property.” Memphis rapper Yo Gotti chimed in saying he has dealt with the same type of discrimination from the Cosmopolitan and other hotels in the Vega area.
