The death of Nipsey Hussle has shaken the hiphop community. Nipsey was a man of the community. Giving back in every way he could. Creating jobs, buying back the blocks, investing his money, and spreading his learnings.

We now learn that there was a meeting set at Nipsey’s request to meet with the LAPD on Monday (today) to talk about ways they could come together to help stop gang violence, especially in his neighborhood of the Crenshaw district. Roc Nation head Jay Brown set the meeting with L.A. Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff about 3 months ago.

The meeting will still take place on Monday in honor of Nipsey. Nipsey also helped launch Vector 90, a STEM learning center and workspace in Crenshaw dedicated to developing science and technology education in the area.

Nipsey spoke on a Dr. Sebi documentary he was working on. Dr. Sebi was a holistic doctor out of Honduras, who believed that a change of the diet could cure any medical issue. Once here in the United States, the government tried to shut him down, claiming he was practicing without a medical license, but it was recognized that he was not a physician. Sebi was acquitted because jurors claimed the state of New York failed to show he made any medical diagnosis. In a New York newspaper, Dr. Sebi claimed to have the cure to AIDS. He was later sued for consumer fraud in New York, preventing him from making therapeutic claims for his products.

Nipsey was shot multiple times on Sunday in front of his Marathon Clothing Company store in L.A. The suspect allegedly approached Nipsey and his crew on foot, fired multiple shots, and jumped in a waiting vehicle with a separate driver, who sources say was a female.
