President Donald Trump’s new federal budget is said to supposedly balance our country out in the next 15 years by cutting non-defense spending. The White House is proposing to cut $2.7 trillion in education, health and environmental protection, but he wants to increase the spending in defense and military by $750 billion. Of course, his wall is calculated in there too with $8.6 billion.

The officials told CNN that approximately $544 billion is being requested for the “base” defense budget with an additional $9 billion going to an “emergency” fund. The remaining $165 billion would go to “Overseas Contingency Operations,” an account that pays for military operations overseas in places like Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq. That’s a dramatic increase from the 2019 budget, which sought $69 billion for that operational account.

The House Budget Committee says Trumps budget has no chance. The full budget will be announced this week.
