After being charged with disorderly conduct for filing a false police on his alleged attack, Jussie Smollett has bailed out of jail on a $100,000 bond and was told to surrender his passport. Now, new evidence has come out.
Prosectors have found Jussie sent a text to the brothers 4 days before the alleged attack. Cops say on Jan. 22, the homophobic letter was received at the FOX studios in Chicago where Empire is filmed. Prosectors believe that when that didn’t get enough heat, he went further & orchestrated an attack, which is where the text messages started being sent on Jan 25. The text read, “Might need your help on the low. you around to meet up and talk face to face?” then met with them to go over details including dousing the actor in gasoline. Later the gasoline was changed to bleach.
Later on the 25th, they met face to face outside of one of the brother’s, Abel, apartment and talked in Jussie’s car. The other brother, Ola, was brought into the mix. According to cops, the original plan, was for Ola to place a rope around Jussie’s neck, pour gasoline on him and yell, “This is MAGA country.” At that point, they say Jussie gave them a $100 bill to go purchase necessary items for the “attack.”
On the 27th, they met again to look for a good location in Chicago. This is when they found the surveillance cam near Jussie’s apartment, a cam he thought would record the incident. On the check paid to the brothers, Jussie noted on the memo line it was for training.
On the 28th, the brother were caught on film purchasing the needed materials and deposited the check.
On the 29th, the “attack” happened. Police now say they have video of the brothers waiting on a bench in the area around 2 a.m.; Jussie was running late. Later that day, the brother boarded a flight to Nigeria.
