Rumors started making rounds that CBS had pulled a marijuana commercial that was set to play on Super Bowl Sunday, and it seems the rumors are true. The ad belonged to Acreage Holdings, a marijuana and cannabis investment firm, that was willing to pay $5 million for the spot, but CBS turned it down because, according to TMZ, CBS don’t allow any marijuana ads on the air.

The ad pushes for the legalization of marijuana as it profiles 3 people: a boy who had hundreds of seizures a day that were not stopped by traditional medicine, a man addicted to opioids, and a veteran who was in severe pain after his leg was amputated. All who said medical marijuana made life livable.

Medical marijuana is currently legal in 30 of our 50 states. North Carolina is not one of them.
