Chris Brown exotic monkey has landed him in some trouble with the law. Via TMZ, “According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the Los Angeles City Attorney is charging CB with two counts of having a restricted species without a permit. The crimes carry a maximum sentence of months in jail.”

If you don’t know, Chris got himself a baby capuchin monkey named Fiji, and he started to receive some backlash after posting a video of his then 3-year-old daughter Royalty, playing with this exotic pet. Of course, others thought the monkey was a threat to Royalty, but Chris felt otherwise and told everyone to chill out.

People notified the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, who launched an investigation. Chris does not have a permit for the monkey., so authorities got a search warrant and planned a raid at his house, but he voluntarily agreed to surrender the monkey.

Chris is due in cour on Febraurry 6, 2019.
