A Goldsboro teenager, Xzavier Jaknowledge Mickens, 16, turned himself in on Tuesday after a warrant went out for his arrest following the killing of 17-year-old Kahlil Teachey. On November 3rd, Goldsboro police were responding to a call when they found 17-year-old Kahlil Teachey shot in the face. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Mickens is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. An initial investigation showed that Teachey may have been accidentally shot by a known individual, Mickens is a known individual of Teachey. He is currently being held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $10,002 bond.
