Blac Chyna has a new business venture, a controversial one: skin lightening creams.

Chyna has partnered with Whitenicious by Vencia for their product, “Whitenicious X Blac Chyna Diamond Illuminating & Lightening Cream.” The cream is being marketed to both men and women of all skin types. Apparently, Chyna has been using the brand’s dark spot corrector for a few years now to deal with her hyperpigmentation, something she feels a lot of women of color also deal with. One jar of her product is going for $250 per jar, and its studded with Swarovski crystals.

Nothing wrong with fixing a few dark marks, but full blown lightening cream may be a too far. Colorism has been a big topic over the past few years in the world. In the past, darker skinned people would bleach their skin to appear lighter for better treatment from society or better opportunities, as society would often push, “the lighter the better.” Making black women and men feel the need to feed into the European standard of beauty. Thank GOD this is changing! So this many not be the best time for Chyna to roll out her new product.
