Many were surprised that Drake didn’t make an appearance on “Tha Carter V.” During an interview on Tidal, Wayne revealed that Drake didn’t make the cut due to clearance issues.

Wayne says when the subject of the song was found out, the song wasn’t cleared. The rapper seems to think the song didn’t get clearance simply because of who he is. I wonder exactly what could have been so bad about that particular song. The subjects on Wayne’s long awaited album go from depression and suicide to using females to rob other men. Already seems risqué to me. BUT I’m sure we’ll hear this mystery song soon enough.

HU Staff: Kecia Gayle @Kecia.Kae Fans who took a listen to Lil Wayne’s new album “Tha Carter V” have been speculating every possible reason as to why Drake was not featured on it. _____________________________________________________________ Wayne decided to address the missing feature during his sit-down with Elliott Wilson on Wednesday for his special CRWN interview on Tidal. He shared that Drake did have a song with him, but he wasn’t featured on the album because of “clearance issues.” _____________________________________________________________ “The clearances man. The clearances man. People be trippin' when they find out who it is and when they find out what the song’s subject is about. They don't represent the names of something like that,” Wayne added, “You really don't know why they say no.” #Socialites, what do you guys think about this?
