Police of Jacksonville Charge 3 Men with Looting Store During Hurricane Florence

Authorities conducted an investigation due to a looting incident that was reported at a local retail store in Jacksonville during hurricane Florence. Three men were charged.

According to WNCT, “Jalen J. Martin, 18, and Nahriek S. Dorsey, 23, were charged with felony breaking and entering, trespass during an emergency, larceny after breaking and entering, obtaining property by false pretense, misdemeanor injury to real property and curfew violation.” James M. Brooks, 18, was also charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, trespass during an emergency, misdemeanor injury to real property and curfew violation.

While Hurrican Florence was happening, the Jacksonville police department responded to The Athlete’s Foot on September 14. Authorities made a statement saying they discovered the front window was broken. Due to hurricane Florence, the investigation was on hold.

All suspects were taken into custody and charged. They were given a $70,000 bond. The case is still currently under investigation.
