There is a new app that can supposedly track common colds, coughs and fever in your area. The app is called “Sickweather,”  and is currently in Spartanburg and Greenville.

According to the CEO, Graham Dodge, the app uses information gathered from public social media posts and reports made to the app. The app will then show users on a map what area around them is best to avoid to not get sick. The app will even tell you the risk of catching one of the trending diseases in your area, with a threat level scale going from 1 to 100.

“Sickweather is like a WAZE app for sickness,” said CEO Graham Dodge. Or a pre-diagnosis tool. The data can be used to predict outbreaks up to 15 weeks in advance.

“If they can know in advance where to send more of one product to a pharmacy in one location, rather than another pharmacy in a different location, that saves them a lot of time and money.” Dodge said.

Think it could really help? Or is it too good to be true?
