Over the weekend an on-campus sexual battery was reported around 4:20 a.m. Saturday. The ECU Police Department is investigating the incident.
Authorities say the suspect assaulted a female in her dorm room located in Fletcher Hall. According to WNCT, “The suspect made several profane comments to the female and touched her inappropriately, police said.”
Police have the area covered and when the suspect left the dorm he went in an unknown direction. Authorities might have identified a possible suspect.
The suspect is expected to not be a student of the university and was described as a black male, approximately 5’ in height and was last seen wearing khaki shorts.
