For Aretha Franklin’s funeral, her family knows that a church just won’t hold the massive turnout they’re expecting to praise the Queen.

The 4-day celebration will be an open casket public viewing being held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, a place that Aretha frequently visited. The venue will be able to accommodate thousands of people. Her body will be at the museum for 2 day, and then the funeral will be held at Greater Grace Temple for close friends and family.
