Chance The Rapper has been in the cut lately with no new singles but that is about to change. Based on the interview Chance The Rapper had with the Chicago Tribune, he will be releasing the follow-up album to his 2016 album Coloring Book in just a few days combined with a very special event. He is preparing to work with Kanye West in Chicago this month on another album.
Chance will be headlining and producing a major multiact charity event, the Special Olympics 50th Anniversary concert Saturday at Northerly Island. “I have done as much work as possible with the intellectual and physical disabilities community,” Chance says. “But overall we’ve been about access, just trying to make sure everyone is given their chance at greatness. And greatness isn’t something segregated. When I looked into the history of the Specials Olympics, that started here 50 years ago and how many (Special Olympics) athletes we have in Chicago – 7,000 – I felt we should be a part of it.”
Joining Chance The Rapper will be Usher, Francis and the Lights, Smokey Robinson, O.A.R., Jason Mraz, and Daya. Tickets for the concerts are available through Chance website.
