Tekashi69 Turns Himself In & Posts Bail

On Monday morning, Tekashi69 officially turned himself in to the Harris County courthouse in Texas after a judge allowed him to post $150,000 bail in New York on Friday with the promise that he would surrender himself in Texas on Monday. Tekashi was supposed to spend the next few days in a high-secruity segment of Rikers Island until his July 20th court date after a judge initially denied him bail, but lucky for him, within hours his legal team came to an agree with the judge.

Tekashi was arrested last week for allegedly choked a 16-year-old boy in a Houston mall back in January. The victim, Santiago Albarran reported the incident to police claiming he ran into Tekashi and started recording him, which lead to Tekashi yelling at the kid to erase the video. Albarren say that Tekashi then grabbed him by his neck. Adding that he erased the video so he wouldn’t get hurt again. His family witnessed the whole thing and another person caught parts of the altercation on their phone.
