Back in May, you might remember T.I getting into a small incident with the security guard in his gated community when he forgot his keys to get in. Once Tiny could confirm that T.I. lived there, he was let in, but walked back to the security office a little while later to speak with the officers more.
The whole situation was caught on audio when the security guard locked himself in the office and called police. T.I could be heard in the background telling the man to step out of the office to talk, adding that the man works for T.I. since the rapper owns property in the community.
T.I. has been officially charged with simple assault, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.
His attorney Steve Stadow released the following statement:
“The misdemeanor charges brought against T.I. are baseless, ill-founded and unjustified. T.I. never threatened or acted in a violent manner towards Euwan James, the security guard. Indeed, we understand the security guard was fired for the way he handled the situation with T.I. We had sincerely hoped that the Henry County Solicitor had better, more important, things to do to serve the Henry County community than prosecute an African American over a verbal dispute during an encounter with a security guard who was asleep at his post and was unwilling to provide his name to T.I., so T.I. could report the guards misconduct to his employer.”
T.I. will most likely not face no jail. Euwan James “was fired for the way he handled the situation with T.I.”
