Back in 2016, Trey Songz was arrested and charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer as well as aggravated assault.  This was a result of Trey throwing stage equipment and punching an officer in the face, when his mic was cut for going over his allotted performance time. He pled guilty to 2 counts of disturbing the peace, receiving probation.

Trey is now being sued by the Detroit cop he punched, who was trying to take Trey into custody when he was punched. The officer says he fell to the ground and hit his head on the concrete, suffering visible bruising and swelling to his temple, along with a hurt hip.

The man is seeking more than $75,000 for unspecified damages.
