Louisiana rapper NBA Youngboy is is even more trouble. The 18-year-old is now looking at up to 10 years in prison for being involved in a 2016 fatal drive-by shooting.

Prosecutors are asking the judge to revoke his probation, in exchange for a suspended prison sentence. This would allow NBA to do probation instead of going right to prison. If he does not break the law during that time, the judge will usually dismiss the sentence.

He was recently charged with assault and kidnap of his girlfriend, after a video was captured of him assaulting her in a hotel hallway. “It’s serious, but it’s not nearly as severe as it’s been made out to be,” says NBA’s attorney James Manasseh, “There’s no kidnapping. There’s no weapons involved.”

The East Baton Rouge Parish Assistant District Attorney, April Leon, is calling NBA, “a threat to society and the safety of others.” In legal documents, it states that NBA, or Kentrell Gaulden, was “booked in early 2017 on two counts of attempted first-degree murder and pleaded guilty in May to a reduced charge of aggravated assault with a firearm in the November 2016 drive-by shooting on Kentucky Street.”
