Comedian Monique wants you to join her in boycotting Netflix.
If you are like me, then you LOVE your Netflix, so Monique better have a pretty good reason.
Monique says that Netflix is offering her less money than they did to Amy Schemer for her Netflix comedy special. Netflix offered Monique $500,000 while they offered Amy Schemer $11 million. That is a huge gap, especially when Monique has been in the game for much longer than Amy.
According to Monique, Amy turned her $11 million into $13 million when she renegotiated with Netflix saying ‘I shouldn’t get what the men are getting, they’re legends. However I should get more’ and Netflix agreed.
Monique says Netflix told her they do not base offers off of “resumes”, yet they offered Amy the $11 million based off of the fact that she sold out “Madison Square Garden twice and she had a big movie over the summer.” If you ask me, that is a resume, just like Monique said.
