We may not be getting a wall anytime soon, but Trump is still looking for a way to get rid of the illegal immigrates in our country.

On Tuesday, Congress met to discuss the immigrants and the DACA, a program that protects young immigrants who were brought illegally to the United States as children from deportation.

President Trump decided to end the Obama-made program back in September, saying that Obama’s actions were “unconstitutional”. A federal judge in California is standing up against the Trump administration saying the decision to kill the program was improper. Judge William Alsup wrote that they Trump administration must “maintain the DACA program on a nationwide basis”. With this temporary ruling, the administration must resume DACA renewal applications.

The Trump administration planned to end the DACA program on March 5th, but now Democrats and Republicans are debating on how to provide relief for 800,000 immigrants who could face deportation. If the program is reinstated, issues of providing relief would go away.

Several states and organizations have already sued the Trump administration for the abrupt shutdown of the program without any proper legal work.

Needless to say, this say decision will be a big one.
