On Saturday night, Winterville police responded to a domestic violence call in the Manchester subdivision. Once police arrived, the man released the female and children from the house, and barricaded himself in the home.
The man eventually came out voluntarily, being identified as 32-year-old Safraz Abrahim.
According to WNCT, police responded after he assaulted the woman and interfered with her calling 911.
Abrahim is currently being charged with resisting a public officer, interference with emergency community, misdemeanor child abuse, and assault on a female.He is being held on no bond, with his first court appearance being Monday.
